I asked all my friends to help me think up the questions that are most important when it comes to knowing about me and how a boudoir session comes together. Thank you to all those who gave me these questions. I hope this long post answers all your questions and that it might even convince those who are thinking about booking to go ahead and make your appointment.

The price, what to bring & how many looks
The sitting fee is $350.00. a $100 deposit is required to secure your time slot. This includes 4 different looks. It’s best to bring a wide variety of different outfits and lingerie, including sexy high heals. Stockings with garters always look hot. Depending on your boyfriend/husband’s profession you can bring his uniform shirt, or his pressed shirt. You can also bring his favorite teams jersey.
What if I want to wear a few extra outfits?
Each additional outfit is $50 and I would need to know that at booking so that I can schedule accordingly.

Will you airbrush my stretch marks?
I touch up all the final images, removing stretchmarks, bruises and giving the images a light airbrushed look. I also enjoy the look of black and white or a nice vintage feel.
Do you put my pictures on the internet without my permission?
Although all the images on my site are real clients and not models (except for Jessie) I have received consent from each woman to post their images.
I will NOT put your images on my blog, Facebook or in my portfolio without the clients consent

How long have you been doing boudoir photography?
I started in 2008 and since then I’ve done over 75 sessions. Most people know I am a wedding photographer first, but my niche in photography is boudoir and I love what I do!

Where do the sessions take place?
I usually do the shoots at one of the nicer hotels in Virginia Beach or at a bed and breakfast. My favorite being the Colonial Gardens Bed and Breakfast.

How often do you host the marathons?
I am usually booking for one boudoir marathon at all times, so as soon as I fill one date I look to at my schedule and put another marathon on my calendar. I ask that people who are interested in being notified of the new dates sign up here.

Who will be editing the photos?
I (Andi Grant) am the only one editing images.
How long does it take to get my pictures?
The proofing gallery is up within a few days of the shoot. The finished product is done in a couple of weeks but can take up to a month, all depending on how busy I am and the printing lab. If you need a rush on your finished product be sure to let me know.
Who will have access to seeing them?
My daughter Amanda often helps me with administrative tasks, and often does some of the organizing of the images once the client chooses them. You will also be able to give the link to your friends along with the password to show them off, but I do ask that you wait to show off the finished images.

Do you let them bring music, perhaps something that will really get them inspired or having fun?
Clients are welcome to bring their Ipod to switch with mine if they would like their music blaring. I usually play your average girlie music, Joss Stone, Lady Gaga, Ingrid Michaelson, Brandi Carlile, etc.

What about makeup and how much extra is it?
Kimberly Adams works with me at most of my marathons. She does an exceptional job at making everyone look their best. Her fee is included in the sitting fee of $350.

Will you travel to my house for a shoot.
I will travel within Hampton Roads for a private session in your home. I would bring my makeup artist along with me. We would have to talk about the details to see if your rooms are big enough for a home shoot. I also have access to a studio setting at Esteem Fitness if you are needing an appointment other than during my marathons.

Who is in the room while the pictures are taken??
I’m usually alone in the room but Kimmi or my other stylists could be in there. By the time we start shooting you’ve spent almost an hour with the makeup artist so it’s very comfortable. They’ve been known to help me be sure you are looking your best.

I’m a firm believer that this experience is supposed to be a fun one. Not something to be stressed over, something that makes you feel fabulous. Yes you’ll be nervous, most women are, but I’ve got over 75 sessions worth of experience. I know how to make you look and feel sexy so we can turn around and show him sexy!!

Do you do parties?

What props do you provide?
I bring a few plush boas to share, black silk gloves, a box of pearls and I have a sailor cap. Otherwise you are encouraged to bring your personal props, bring his guitar or cowboy hat, think about it and be creative!
How long does a session usually take?
A session lasts 2 hours. About 60 minutes getting ready and then another hour shooting.
Do I get digital negatives of my pictures?
You can buy the digital negatives of your pictures on a disk for $200 once you’ve purchased an album or calendar.
Do I have to be thin like so many of the other girls on the website?
No way! I photograph all sizes, ages and skin color. My job is to know the best poses to emphasize the good, and minimize the less then perfect.

Will you be able to log onto a website to view all of the photos to pick and choose your favorites?
You’ll have a private password protected gallery where you’ll be able to review your proofs. From there you choose the images according to what you’ve purchased in your package. So you might be choosing 14 for a calendar, 30 for a 5×5 album or 40 for the 8×8 album.
What are the prices for extra prints and what kind of products are available?
You can add on a calendar for $75 dollars. A 5×5 album is 175.00 and an 8×8 album is 250.00. A sexy slide show is $50
What was once your proofing gallery becomes a finished gallery, where you’ll be able to purchase individual prints. The pricing for a 4×6 is $4, a 5×7 is $15, an 8×10 is $20

These sessions are designed to be fun. It’s all about getting glammed up and letting your hair down. Treating yourself to new lingerie and maybe some spa treatments before the session is a great confidence builder. Having confidence and believing in yourself is what makes the truly fantastic pictures. I can take care of all the technical details, I need you to come to the session prepared to feel sexy.
